25 rooms, junior suites and family residences are individually designed in the Boutique Hotel Bären Gonten. Many of the amenities are part of the good atmosphere: flat-screen TV, radio, free internet access and safe are included in the basic equipment.
Guests also have free use of Appenzell mineral and Grander water and a good hiking backpack.
BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN APPENZELL – WELCOME
In June 2020 the sauna oasis in the roof structure opened its doors. Steam bath, Finnish sauna and two adventure showers under the old beams are complemented by a large relaxation room with antique tiled stove.
The feel-good atmosphere that permeates the entire listed building also helps to balance and relax.
In the main building there are seven junior suites and further rooms. Since May 2020, the Klarer annex has offered five double rooms, three of which are residences with two separate bedrooms. Like all boutique rooms, these have a shower and WC.

The kitchen team skillfully processes regional and healthy ingredients into dishes that always delight its guests. High-quality products, which are processed into refined dishes, are gladly put on the plates. Coordinated, light menus are served on special occasions.
As early as 2020, Guide Michelin Switzerland praised the warm and attentive service, the fresh ingredients and the carefully prepared good meal.
